Hamptons Home From Home Beach Hut | Shop 'Interior Design Masters' Episode 5

Who else loved the episode last week where we saw the remaining 5 designers transform a beach hut each? If you missed it, you can read my recap here.

Becca (House of Three London) and I have done something a little different with this week's moodboard, and instead of taking inspiration from the designers' schemes, we've come up with our own version of a combination of Charlotte and Micaela's briefs: 'Hamptons Home From Home'. Because why not?

And let's face it, dreaming about a day at the beach in the sunshine with friends and family - we didn't need much persuading! We've incorporated items that you could absolutely use in your garden, for an outdoor kitchen or patio area, or if you have a summer house perhaps.

This one was a lot of fun to do, and we really hope you like it!

If you look up 'Hamptons style' you'll most likely find light, bright and sophisticated interiors, usually with whitewashed wood tones and an effortless and calming, beachy vibe. Plenty of paired back natural materials, such as stone, jute and timber, and colours tend to be neutral, soft and inspired by the coast.

All the links you'll need are below but I also wanted to share a couple of tips, in case you have your own beach hut or summer house to try some of these ideas.

- You can still use wall lights and pendants, even if you don't have any power with this clever hack using battery operated LED lights (best to get remote control lights if possible). I love this trick so much!

- There are so many amazing outdoor cushion options available, that you can leave out over summer and wipe down or some go straight in the washing machine. The best places I've found are: Dunelm, Argos, Ikea and Amazon.

- We absolutely love the idea of an outdoor kitchen. You could easily swap out the oven for a built in barbeque. Check out this one from Studio Ogee.

- Hit Facebook Marketplace or eBay for a reclaimed or 2nd hand dining table. For something that is likely to face many different elements, why not get something slightly weathered already, and let your family's special occasions add to its character!

This week the remaining four designers are tackling two hair salons. I'm so excited to see what each pair come up with!
