12 Housewarming Gift Ideas For Every Budget

If you know someone who’s recently moved house, they’re bound to be grateful for a thoughtful housewarming gift.

Whether you’re shopping for your best friend’s new pad or some early Christmas ideas, here are twelve gift ideas for every budget.

1. Kärcher Window Vac

Let’s kick this off with a device of pure pleasure; a vacuum for windows, glass shower enclosures, granite worktops and more! It’s such a useful but offbeat gift, it totally won’t be expected, which is the best thing about buying them, right?

2. Moving Essentials Box (this is so handy to have)

Having recently moved into a new house myself, I know how stressful it was, and this little box was a godsend! Include items like snacks, tea/coffee, hand towel, loo roll, and scissors. One essential I made sure that was packed in mine was my Ora Home kitchen towels, and it made moving in day so much easier too.

3. Ring Video Doorbell

Ring doorbells are all the rage right now, and they make a cool gift since they’re essentially a security camera too. They’re also ideal for people who move house a lot because they can take it with them - definitely the gift that keeps on giving.

4. Dried or Faux Flower Arrangement

Another thoughtful housewarming gift, dried flowers are a sweet, long-lasting alternative to your usual blooms. I just love Shida Preserved Flowers - they smell incredible and the best part; these babies can stay maintenance-free for up a year! Alternatively a faux bouquet from The Faux Florist, will continue putting a smile on their face for years to come.

5. TEFAL Garment Steamer

If your recipient likes to look smart, TEFAL’s handheld Garment Steamers will ensure they’re ready for anything wherever they go. My most favourite bit? They even sanitise clothes meaning you’ll save a huge amount of water by doing less washing. You can also use this on your bedding if you love crisp sheets but don't fancy ironing them every time, or to freshen up your curtains.

6. NEOM Happiness Scented Candle

Moving is stressful, so remind them why they did it with NEOM’s Happiness Candle. Featuring notes of zingy fresh lemon, white neroli and wood, this upbeat little gift will go down a treat.

7. Amazon Echo Show 8 (2nd Gen)

Another happy surprise, Amazon’s Echo Show 8 isn’t necessarily something you’d expect as a housewarming gift. Better still, the Echo can link to the Ring Doorbell if you’re feeling extra flush and comes with a tonne of bonus features and a more capable camera.

8. BLACK & BARN Storage Jars

BLACK & BARN are literally one of my favourite stores ever for addictive homeware, and their products are made from 98% recycled materials. Check out these ideas for a minimal pantry, plus their glass storage jars; who knew getting organised could be such fun?!

9. Sonos Portable Audio Speaker

Another gift for the tech-obsessed here, Sonos make some of the best wireless speakers around. Excellence, however, comes at a cost, but their speakers do last and will keep any new homeowner company whilst they unpack.

10. Personalised Keyring by T.W.GILL

Keep a new set of house keys company with this custom keyring, designed by the lovely Tom at T.W.GILL. Simply choose your personalisation option and favourite colour - I’ve got one myself, and I absolutely adore it

11. Dyson 360 Heurist™ Robot Vacuum

There’s a reason this vacuum’s sold out; it is off-the-scale cool and cleans your home without you lifting a finger. According to Dyson, it might be small, but it is perfectly formed, and I’m just hoping they’re back in stock for Black Friday.

12. Charlotte Spencer - Room Diffusers

Last not but least, these reed diffusers are the best-smelling thing to come out of the Cotswolds. Not only do they banish that new house smell, but they’re also handmade by Charlotte; the Plum & Pomegranate is my absolute favourite!

So there we have it, 12 housewarming gift ideas to mark any occasion with a nice gesture. I hope you’ve found this article helpful and you’re feeling ready to shop - who knows? You may even bag a Black Friday deal...
