Having a huge clear out of my beloved samples, in preparation for our moving day— and I’m so pleased that two local mums are making use of everything I’m saying goodbye to for a nursery and kids club.

It’s been amazing going through all my tiles, worktops, fabrics, carpets, wood flooring, furniture samples and paint cards. Reminiscing about past projects, and realising I’ve kept hold of samples from my @klcschool days and even before that doing work experience back in 2016.

I already feel much lighter, only keeping my very favourites from trusted suppliers that I’ve loved working with over the last 7 years.

But each step of clearing my office comes with a big mixed bag of emotions… excitement, gratitude and a tinge of sadness that this wonderful workspace will be no more in just a few weeks. Onto the next chapter ✨

Sarah was an absolute dream to work with —she had a pretty good idea of her likes + dislikes and a list of must haves for the space, which meant I could prep a lot of the design ahead of our call.

During the 90min zoom, we covered everything from sourcing specific items to work best in the layout, through to lighting and tile choices (trying alternatives in the design so Sarah could see which she preferred).

After the call I sent Sarah a full list of everything we’d discussed with links to all the items she’d need, and assisted with the orders so she could benefit from our trade discounts too.

I loved getting progress photos during the installation, and we’re so thrilled to hear how much she’s loving her new bathroom!

Site visit at our Ascot project 🏡

We have been working on these two six bedroom new builds for almost 2 years so it was fantastic to pop in on Monday to see how they’re coming on.

Plot 1 is really progressing quickly now with the bathrooms and kitchen being installed. Can’t wait to go again in a few weeks time - it’s always very exciting at this stage!

It’s been a joy to work with my good friend Lisa on this project (@simplicity_designhub) - we studied interior design together back in 2016 at @klcschool and instantly became pals so it’s lovely to collaborate on this.

We’ll be sharing more of this project over the next few months I’m sure 👀

1 whole week of being a Mrs! 🤍

What a whirlwind, planning a whole wedding in about 5 weeks, but it was hands down one of the happiest days of my life and I’m beyond grateful for all our friends & family who made it so very special.

I couldn’t have done it without my Mum & Dad’s help, not only hosting at their beautiful home but picking up vases, candles, plant pots, drinks, hiring glasses, making the garden look wonderful… the list goes on! I think they also arranged the best weather too? ☀️

And my superstar wingwoman @sazzlebeds (& Paddy!) who had only just returned from their epic 6 month-trip through South America - remotely advising and then in the days before and after, running around sorting all the final bits of prep!

Special mention to—
🌿 The 3 fantastic speeches - still blown away at how great they all were!
🌿 The 3 most adorable page boys (and their awesome parents!)
🌿 Our incredible cake made by James’ super talented sister
🌿 And to James’ family for managing to get his Grandad to the ceremony 🫶🏼

We had my amazing grandfather’s funeral on the Monday before, so being able to celebrate with loved ones and end the week on such a high made it even more special ✨

🎞️ a gorgeous week in Cornwall ⛅️🍦🐚

— we stayed at @atlanta.trevonebay which was absolutely beautiful and the perfect base for beach walks and exploring the local area 🚙

A few highlights if you’re planning a trip:
~ Trevone Farm Shop - definitely try their homemade glazes if you head to the butcher counter, and great selection of fresh fruit + veg 🍋
~ @trevonebaycafe Beach Cafe for a scrummy pizza or halloumi wrap 🍕
~ Yummy lunch at @ricksteinrestaurants Cornish Arms in St Merryn 🍴
~ The Lobster Shed at @the_pig_hotels Harlyn Bay (if you’re taking a dog, otherwise you could eat in the restaurant) - the pork with gooseberries was out of this world delicious! 🐖 From Atlanta, it’s a beautiful 30min walk along the coast, and you can stop in Harlyn Bay for a paddle or sunbathe ☀️
~ @trevibbanmill_vineyard for a wine tasting and vineyard tour - be sure to try the Dessert Apple Wine, and thank me later! 🍏 Next time we’ll definitely stop in at @barnabyspadstow for some food afterwards!
~ Of course, a wander around Padstow - loved the homeware in @steinsathome, try a flapjack from @flapjackery, nice lunch spot @prawnonthelawn and browse the lovely clothes in Maxari, Quba & Co, and @jamindustries01 👕
~ A super special dinner at @no6padstow - absolutely blown away by the tasting menu and attention to detail with our personalised menu cards ✨

Hard to believe it’s been a whole year already…

On May 22nd 2023 Oti, totally out of the blue, lost the use of her back and needed spinal surgery. The months after were incredibly tough, but look at her now - rolling around on her wheels, full of life! 👉🏼

Taking care of Oti while running a business has meant more time at home than ever. To think I left a home-based job years ago because I craved human interaction? Well, life works in funny ways! Now, designing dream homes for clients and being Oti’s biggest cheerleader makes me feel incredibly grateful.

Creating a calming and happy home environment has been key. No fancy renovations here - just a sprinkle of second-hand finds and some simple tweaks. It’s amazing how much a clutter-free, peaceful space can impact your mood!

We’ve been working away on this beautiful project for just over a year now, and it’s so exciting to see it all starting to come to life!

Currently confirming bathroom orders, lighting plans, fireplaces and tile specifications - we’re at the stage where things will really start to take shape!

It’s been a joy teaming up with my @klcschool buddy @lisa.josling - we’re hoping to visit the site again soon so be sure to stay tuned for more updates on this project over the next few months!
